  1. Introduction

1.1 GIBT Campus is committed to maintaining high academic standards and ensuring fairness, consistency, and transparency in its assessment and examination practices. This Assessment and Examination Policy outlines the principles and procedures governing the assessment of student learning and the conduct of examinations at the university.

 

  1. Principles

2.1 GIBT Campus is guided by the following principles in its assessment and examination practices:

  1. Fairness: All assessments and examinations shall be conducted fairly, without discrimination or bias, and shall provide equal opportunities for all students to demonstrate their learning.
  2. Academic Integrity: The university upholds principles of academic integrity and honesty and prohibits cheating, plagiarism, and other forms of academic misconduct.
  3. Validity and Reliability: Assessment methods and examination formats shall be valid, reliable, and aligned with intended learning outcomes and course objectives.
  4. Transparency: Assessment criteria, grading schemes, and examination procedures shall be transparently communicated to students in advance.
  5. Feedback: Timely and constructive feedback shall be provided to students to support their learning and development.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Assessment and examination practices shall be regularly reviewed and evaluated to identify areas for improvement and to enhance the quality of student learning experiences.

3.1 GIBT Campus employs a variety of assessment methods to evaluate student learning, including but not limited to:

4.1 GIBT Campus shall establish clear procedures for the conduct of examinations, including:

8.1 GIBT Campus shall maintain accurate records of student assessments, examination results, and any actions taken in relation to assessment processes or appeals.

9.1 GIBT Campus shall provide training and support to staff involved in assessment and examination processes to ensure consistency, fairness, and compliance with university policies and procedures.

 

  1. Communication and Awareness

10.1 This Assessment and Examination Policy shall be communicated to all students, staff, and faculty through appropriate channels, such as the university website, student handbooks, and staff training sessions.
